Help Fight Hunger with Kunes Honda of Quincy & Horizons

At Kunes Honda of Quincy, we believe that a strong community is built on compassion, support, and action. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry for an important initiative aimed at helping families in need right here in our hometown of Quincy, Illinois.

From May 1st through May 14th, we’re inviting all of our friends, neighbors, and customers to join us in making a difference. During these two weeks, we are hosting a community food drive to support Horizons and the vital work they do every day to fight hunger and bring hope to our neighbors.

Horizons has been a beacon of hope in Quincy for years, providing hot meals, groceries, support services, and dignity to those struggling with hunger. They serve over 1,300 meals each week and run a food pantry that provides critical food assistance to hundreds of families. Their mission aligns perfectly with Kunes Honda’s commitment to service, both on and off the dealership lot.

By teaming up with Horizons, we aim to bolster their efforts during a time when food insecurity remains a pressing issue. With the rising cost of living, more families are turning to Horizons for help—and together, we can help ensure their shelves are fully stocked.

It’s simple: bring non-perishable food donations to Kunes Honda of Quincy between May 1st and May 14th. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a direct impact.

Most needed items include:

• Canned meats (chicken, tuna)
• Peanut butter and jelly
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Rice and boxed meals
• Breakfast cereals
• Shelf-stable milk
• Soups and stews

When you stop by to donate, you’ll also get the chance to meet our team, learn more about Horizons, and see firsthand how Quincy’s community spirit can create real change.

As a token of appreciation, everyone who donates will be entered into a special raffle drawing (details to be announced soon!). It's just our way of saying thank you for helping us support this vital cause.
